Along with Verizon and Apple, Microsoft today shared its recent earnings results. The most interesting mobile tidbit found in Microsoft’s Q4 FY14 results? Lumia sales figures.

Yes, just a few months after officially acquiring Nokia’s Devices and Services division, Microsoft has reported its sales figures for Windows Phone-powered Nokia Lumia smartphones. Microsoft says that it sold 5.8 million Lumia smartphones during the quarter, which it says was mostly driven by low cost hardware. Microsoft also moved 30.3 million non-Lumia phones.

So there’s an early look at how Nokia’s Lumia hardware is performing under Microsoft. It’ll be interesting to see how those figures change in the upcoming quarters as Microsoft continues to push low-cost Windows Phone hardware and transitions its Android-based Nokia X designs to Windows Phone-powered Lumia products.
