T-Mobile offering free flagship phones from Apple, Samsung, and LG for Black Friday

T-Mobile CEO John Legere

With just days to go before Black Friday, T-Mobile has announced a few more deals on top of the ones that it revealed last week.

The big addition is T-Mobile’s offer of a free flagship smartphone __with trade-in. This weekend only, starting November 24, you can get a free flagship smartphone from Apple, Samsung, or LG when you trade in a device that you own in full. You’ll also need to put your new phone on a Simple Choice Unlimited or T-Mobile One plan.

The selection of free flagships includes the 32GB iPhone 7, 32GB iPhone 7 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and LG V20. Keep in mind that only select trade-ins will get you one of these flagships for free, though. For example, to get a free iPhone 7, you’ll need to trade in an iPhone 6s or newer, Galaxy S6 or newer, or LG V20 or G5. To get a free Galaxy S7 edge, you’ll need trade in an iPhone 7 Plus or LG V20.

If you’ve got an older phone, you can still trade it in, you’ll just need to pay some cash upfront. T-Mobile will also let you upgrade to an iPhone __with more storage if you’re willing to pay a little extra.

You can find the full trade-in deals for the Apple phones here, the Samsung phones here, and the LG V20 here.

T-Mobile is also giving out free money to customers that port in a number and take advantage of the above trade-in offer. Specifically, those customers will get a free $200 prepaid MasterCard gift card, up to 12 lines or $2,400. Customers that’d prefer to keep their phone when they switch to T-Mo will get $200 in bill credits spread out over 20 months.

Finally, T-Mo has a gift for everyone. From today through November 26, everyone will get one hour of free Gogo inflight Wi-Fi on their smartphones. This offer is open to non-T-Mobile customers.

All of these offers are in addition to the Black Friday deals that T-Mobile announced last week. Those include a free Gear VR with the purchase of a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge and discounts on various accessories.

Compared to its cheaper sibling, the Motorola Moto G4 Plus comes with a better camera, a fingerprint sensor, and an option with more RAM and storage. The 32GB/2GB variant of the G4 Plus is priced at $199.99 ($50 or 20% off) while the 64GB/4GB version only costs $229 ($70 or 24% down).

Note: All of these deals are for brand new unlocked units with manufacturer warranty. Best of all, these phones are compatible with both GSM and CDMA carriers.

While Motorola's new Moto Z series has raised some contradictory opinions, there's no denying that the latest iterations in the Moto G series are two of the best affordable smartphones money can currently buy.

What do you guys make of Amazon's Black Friday 2016 deal on the Moto G4 series?
