Facebook has been around for quite some time, and the social networking site has become quite the powerhouse within the industry, including their own and within the mobile market. They've even given real efforts at creating "Facebook phones," just because they obviously believe everyone could use more Facebook in their lives. And, based new new app statistics, it looks like a lot of people actually agree with that belief.

According to a report by Android Police, it looks like more than one billion people have decided that Facebook is a good way to pass the time (and hopefully not just for sending messages). The app has officially surpassed the one billion installs within the Google Play Store, which means it is the first non-Google app to make the milestone. It also means that Facebook is outpacing other Google apps, including Hangouts and (somehow) Google Search. However, apps like YouTube, Maps, Google Play Services and, you guessed it, Mail have already hit the one billion mark.

Did you install Facebook? Do you still use it every day?
