Motorola said last weekend that the new Moto X would be available for preorder on September 16, and just as promised, you can indeed now hand over your money in exchange for Moto’s new flagship.
AT&T is now accepting orders for the Moto X (2nd Generation). You can order a Black Leather, Bamboo or plain Black Resin unit. Pricing for all three models is set at 24 monthly payments of $21.96 with AT&T Next 18, 20 monthly payments of $26.35 each with AT&T Next 12, $99.99 with a 2-year contract or $526.99 without a commitment. AT&T says that orders will ship on September 23.
If you’d prefer to order direct from Motorola, you’ll be able to do that today at 11:00 AM CT. Motorola will offer the Moto X - Pure Edition, a variant of the new Moto X that comes unlocked and includes an unlockable bootloader. Motorola will also offer its Moto Hint Bluetooth headset, the Motorola Turbo Charger and the Moto 360 smartwatch.
The Moto X (2nd Generation) packs a 5.2-inch 1080p AMOLED display, 13-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and 16GB or 32GB of storage. Pricing for the new Moto X is pretty reasonable considering all that you’re getting, and the ability to customize your device using Motorola’s Moto Maker tool is sure to make the new X even more enticing for a lot of folks.
Do you plan on preordering a new Moto X today? If so, how are you going to deck it out?
