Last week, HTC said that the Verizon version of its One (M8) was “on track” to receive Android 4.4.3 the following week. Now we know that that’s still the case.
HTC executive Mo Versi just confirmed that the Verizon One (M8)’s update to Android 4.4.3 has received technical approval and that it’ll begin rolling out on September 10. Included with the update are all of the security fixes found in Android 4.4.4 as well as Extreme Power Saving mode.
HTC has done a pretty good job of sticking to its update promises to date, and it’s continuing to do so with this Verizon One (M8) update, so kudos to HTC. Once the update begins rolling on Wednesday, you Verizon One (M8) owners can check for the update manually by going into Settings > Phone Update > Check for Update.
