5 cool Daydream VR game

Upon announcing its Daydream virtual reality platform, Google offered some game examples that will work on it, but now, __with the View headgear out of the bag, and handed for free to those who preorder Pixel phones, it is talking about Daydream VR "experiences," games included.

The new Pixel and Pixel XL are certified for the Daydream platform, covering all hardware and software prerequisites like dedicated sensors, Android 7.0 Nougat, powerful processors, screen refresh rate, and so on. These all work in tandem to offer you the best virtual reality worlds you can meet on mass phone screens like the ones on the Pixels.

Google's Daydream View headgear comes __with a small straightforward Wii-like controller that lets you do basic gesture gaming, and there are already a few titles in the Daydream shop that caught our attention.

A sequel to the popular Gunjack VR shooter, Gunjack 2: End of Shift is a space shooter that will be available exclusively on Google’s Daydream platform. The game takes you to the  Outer Ring of New Eden, and the view from the cockpit is.. deadly. This one is coming in a few weeks, and you'd better get your View headgear ready for some space blasts.

Everything that J.K. Rowling touches turns to gold, and the new Fantastic Beasts movie is unlikely to be an exception. Needless to say, there is a whole entertainment universe already built around it. Case in point - the game based on the Harry Potter sequel characters will be a poster child for Google's Daydream VR platform, and you will be able to use the View remote as a magic wand, pretty cool.

If you haven't played Mekorama yet, you are no fan of spatial puzzles.. or tiny robots, for that matter. Mekorama is arriving in a Daydream version, and you will be able to take the mechanized kritter on their diorama-making missions by building bridges, rolling in wheels, and generally pushing stuff around.

Google's Daydream View will let you swoosh from the deep space abyss into the deep blue sea, as the awesome Classroom Aquatic is made exclusive for Daydream VR. You are a human diver exchange student, who must spend a semester abroad at Dolphin school. Lie, cheat, and steal your way through exams at an underwater mammal learning institution, need we say more about Classroom Aquatic?

Bringing multiplayer and cooperation to the VR experience, "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes" is essentially a board game, but moved into the virtual world, as it is already available for the Gear VR, Oculus and so on. A player is constrained in a room with a ticking bomb clock that must be defused. The others have the manual to give them the instructions, but can’t see the bomb, so the sapper needs to be quickly talked through the steps. Surely a fun way to spend Thanksgiving with the fam.
