The Oppo R9s Plus comes with a 6-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The just announced Snapdragon 653 SoC is under the hood, just as AnTuTu said it would be. This includes an octa-core 1.95GHz CPU and the Adreno 510 GPU. 6GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of internal storage. A microSD slot is available for those seeking additional storage. A 4000mAh battery keeps the hamster wheel spinning, and VOOC means that the cell will charge quickly. Android 6.0 is pre-installed.
The two new handsets also feature a 16MP rear-facing camera, and a 16MP front-facing camera. Both sport Sony's IMX398 sensor, which is making its debut on these new models; the Oppo R9s and Oppo R9s Plus also both sport a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button of each model. And near the top and bottom of the back cover you will find a new slot antenna design. It rids the phones of those unsightly antenna lines and prevents the user's hands from interfering with the signal.
The Oppo R9s will go on sale October 28th, priced at the equivalent of $410 USD. The Oppo R9s Plus will be available in December, priced at the equivalent of $520 USD.
