| A Pro model of the Samsung Galaxy C7 is very much on the cards |
Handsets like the Samsung Galaxy C5 and C7 combine top-end qualities alongside some less extravagant specs for a decidedly flagship-ish experience. Last month, it became apparent that Sammy is working on Pro versions of the aforementioned and now, the latter has been spotted en route to India. The Galaxy C7 Pro (SM-C7010) has been shipped over for testing purposes, though it's still unclear when it will become official.
The standard issue Galaxy C7 is a 5.7-inch, FHD device that has been on the market for the best part of five months. The metal-clad phab includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chip, 4 GB RAM, 32 / 64 GB of expandable storage and a 3300 mAh battery. There's also a 16-megapixel main camera __with dual-LED flash and auto-focus, along __with an 8-megapixel shooter on the front.

The Galaxy C7 Pro will presumably improve upon the specs in some way or other, though specifics are not yet known beyond the 5.7-inch panel size. After the demise of the Galaxy Note 7, part of us wishes Samsung would throw a high-end SoC, QHD display and other such improvements into the C7 Pro as a not-quite-replacement. Alas, while many of our readers would rejoice at a metallic flagship build from Samsung, the chances of the C7 Pro delivering on that dream are slim-to-none.
The new data notes the unit value of the imported Galaxy C7 Pro at Rs. 13,645, which equates to just over $200. This isn't a reflection on the potential retail price, though. Since the 32 GB variant of the current Galaxy C7 retails at the equivalent of $400, it's safe to assume that the C7 Pro will be there or thereabouts.
The Galaxy C5 and C7 launched exclusively to China, so it's very possible that the upgraded editions will do likewise. Still, as further info on the Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro comes to light, we'll be sure to pass it on.
