The answer? It was the HTC DROID DNA that was first to market __with a 1080 x 1920 display. HTC went back in time and used red trim, a soft touch back and a Super LCD display (number 3). All of these things just might have reminded you of the HTC DROID Incredible. The Gorilla Glass 2 protected 5-inch screen, combined __with the FHD (Full High Definition) resolution, to provide users with a striking 441ppi pixel density. You might not be able to tell a 1440 x 2560 QHD display from a 1080 x 1920 panel, but if you were used to phones with a 720p HD screen back then, one look at the DROID DNA made you realize that you weren't in Kansas anymore.
The rest of the phone's specs included a Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 under the hood, containing a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU and the Adreno 320 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside with 16GB of native storage (11GB available to the user). An 8MP camera is on back, featuring an f/2.0 aperture. The 2MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video chats.
The phone is powered by a 2020mAh battery, which along with the camera, was a sore spot with HTC fans at this time. While it came with Android 4.1.1 out of the box, updates ended with Android 4.4. Eventually, Verizon replaced the model with the HTC One (M7) which originally was not offered by Big Red due to strong sales of the DROID DNA.
