Samsung Canada cuts off Galaxy Note 7 connections to carrier networks beginning December 15

Samsung Canada cuts off Galaxy Note 7 connections to carrier networks beginning December 15

It happened not long ago in Australia and it will soon going to happen in Canada. Samsung has just announced that those who haven't yet returned their Galaxy Note 7 should do so immediately since their phones will soon become useless bricks.

The handset maker states that it is pleased __with the return and exchange rate of Galaxy Note 7 units from customers in Canada, securing about 90% of the devices that were initially sold in the country.

The rest of customers who have yet to take advantage of Samsung's exchange offers should hurry up and return their Galaxy Note 7 phones, as the South Korean company has some aggressive measures to set up in the coming weeks.

Samsung Canada announced that functional limitations, including a limitation on the battery charge, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth disablement will be implemented starting December 12.

Moreover, beginning December 15 customers still using the (in)famous Galaxy Note 7 will no longer be able to connect to any Canadian carrier mobile network services in order to make calls, use data or sent messages.

Thus being said, Samsung urges once again all Galaxy Note 7 customers who still have the phone in their possession to go ahead and return it as soon as possible. The window for the refund or exchange program is closing on December 15.

As a recalled product, Note 7 device owners are legally prohibited from selling or even giving away the recalled device. We would like to remind customers that they need to return their Note 7 device.

Hopefully, those 10% Galaxy Note 7 customers who think it's a good idea to keep their phones will change their minds and return them sooner rather than later.
