The LG G6 is definitely water resistant

LG today released a short video that officially confirms one of the important features of its upcoming G6 flagship: the smartphone is water resistant. The video (embedded above) doesn't really tell us anything else, so we don't know just how resistant to water the G6 is. In any case, we're expecting the phone to be at least IPx7-certified, meaning it should offer the same level of water resistance as the iPhone 7 series (if not higher).

Update: Interestingly, LG initially titled this video "G6: Water Resistance" and later changed it to "G6: Pool."

As previously announced, LG will fully unveil the G6 on February 26, at MWC 2017. The smartphone could be released starting March in some markets, but it might not reach the US before April.

Water resistance aside, other confirmed LG G6 features include a 5.7-inch FullVision display __with 1440 x 2880 pixels, a wide-angle dual rear camera, and Android 7 Nougat __with LG UX 6.0.
