Previous rumors revealed that the Z4 will offer 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (single band). The phone will be powered by a 2,050 mAh battery. The Samsung Z3, which was released in October priced at the equivalent of $132.50 USD, can now be purchased for the equivalent of $101.43 USD. The Z3 features a 5-inch display __with a 720 x 1280 HD resolution. The Spreatrum SC7730 SoC contains a quad-core 1.3GHz CPU and the Mali-T400 GPU. 1GB of RAM is inside along with 8GB of native storage. The camera combo from back to front weighs in at 8MP and 5MP respectively. Keeping the lights on is a 2600mAh battery, and Tizen 2.3 is pre-installed, upgradeable to Tizen 2.4.
When Samsung originally developed Tizen, it was looking for a way to produce its own handsets without having to count on Google and its Android OS. While Samsung and Google had a strained relationship at the time, Samsung is currently using Tizen for its Gear S smartwatch line, and for low to mid-range handsets in emerging markets among other uses.
